Frequently Asked Questions

What is it ?
The Turbo Shield is aerodynamic technology developed for race cars, being put to use in everyday life. If you have ever watched a stock car race you have seen the concept behind the Turbo Shield in action.
What are the benefits?
The benefits, as outlined in the owner’s manual and the brochure, are improved handling, improved cooling, a reduction in splash and spray on wet pavement, and, if driving habits remain unchanged, an increase in fuel mileage
How does it work?
Air that would usually travel under the front bumper, causing turbulence which lifts the front of the vehicle as it reacts with air traveling through the grill, is diverted around the outside of the vehicle. This causes an aerodynamic vortex vacuum behind the Turbo Shield, keeping the vehicle on the ground.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, 1 yr parts on the power unit, control unit, pivot bushings and BROKEN deflector boards. Scratched or road worn deflector boards are not covered under the warranty.
The bottom piece of my Turbo Shield is constantly scraping the ground when I drive, what do I do?
If you have a manual unit, move the switch to the up position and move the Turbo Shield up a little bit so it no longer scrapes. If you have a remote unit, press and release the star key on the fob to activate the trim feature.
What do I need to do to maintain my TS?
Grease the unit at the points where the grease fittings are provided, whenever you perform regular maintenance on your vehicle. Wash the unit when you wash you car (for best effectiveness, at cleaning, make sure the unit is in the down position).
